Solar Village Ethiopia Participates in the Second Africa Climate Summit (ACS2)

Solar Village Ethiopia is proud to have participated in the Second Africa Climate Summit (ACS2), which officially began on Monday, September 8, 2025. The summit serves as a continental platform where governments, private sector leaders, researchers, and civil society come together to shape Africa’s climate agenda and drive collective action toward a sustainable future.

During the summit, Solar Village Ethiopia delivered a presentation on the role of renewable energy and climate-smart technologies in advancing Africa’s green transition. Our focus was on how decentralized clean energy solutions can address pressing challenges, including energy access, rural development, and climate resilience.

We emphasized that Africa’s renewable energy potential, when harnessed effectively, can:

• Enhance food and water security

• Reduce carbon emissions

• Create jobs and opportunities for young people
