Empowering Ethiopia’s Future Through Food Urbanism
Solar Village Ethiopia is honored to be recognized as a contributing stakeholder in the nationally celebrated Adolescent-Led Food Urbanism initiative, led by UNICEF and the Addis Ababa City Administration.

As featured in the 2024 report, our involvement supports efforts to empower youth through climate-smart urban agriculture, promoting local food production, environmental sustainability, and improved nutrition for vulnerable communities.
By integrating solar-powered solutions into urban food systems, we continue to drive innovation that uplifts young people — especially adolescent girls and young mothers — and enables them to grow, consume, and share nutrient-rich food within their communities.
✅ Proud contributor to vegetable, poultry, and beekeeping units in youth centers
✅ Advocating sustainable food practices through renewable energy
✅ Supporting the transition of youth into learning and earning pathways
We believe that a food-secure future starts with empowered youth — and Solar Village Ethiopia remains committed to building that future, one community at a time.
