Solar Village Ethiopia (SVE), in partnership with Oxfam International in Ethiopia, has successfully completed the Year One Milestone Mid-Term Review (MTR). The donor-led assessment, facilitated by the Government of Denmark, was conducted on November 18, 2025.

The review team began their visit at the SVE seedling production site before proceeding to the SVE office for an in-depth discussion and clarification of key questions.

The MTR evaluated P4G’s progress across several critical performance areas:

• Stakeholder Engagement: Effectiveness of collaboration with government institutions, national platform members, private sector partners, and other key stakeholders.

• Investment Readiness: Progress in strengthening the business model and advancing toward investment readiness with P4G support.

• Enabling Environment: Contributions to a climate-friendly business environment and the effectiveness of National Platforms.

• P4G Additionality: Unique value delivered through P4G grants, technical assistance, and matchmaking support.

• Startup Performance: Achievements to date, commercial viability, innovation, and lessons learned for future P4G strategy.

• Future Viability: Long-term sustainability, scalability, and relevance of the private-sector partnership model.

• Data Quality: Reliability and robustness of systems for data collection, storage, and validation.

These thematic areas formed the core of an interactive and constructive discussion between the MTR team and Solar Village Ethiopia, together with Oxfam in Ethiopia. The review meeting concluded at noon after a productive exchange.
