Mr. Nega Ashagrie
Nega Ashagrie holds a BA and an MSc from Hawassa University, Wondo Genet College of Forestry and Natural Resources, specializing in Climate-Smart Agriculture and Landscape Assessment. He also earned a Project Management, Monitoring & Evaluation Certificate from Addis Ababa University, College of Commerce.
With over 15 years of experience in government, NGOs, and the private sector, Nega has worked with organizations such as SUNARMA, PSNP, UEWCA, EPA Farm Africa Sida Project, and Chakka Origins Personal Care. His expertise spans agriculture and forestry programs, where he has held roles including Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) and Project Manager.
Currently, Nega serves as the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Communication Coordinator at Solar Village, a solar equipment import company. He collaborates with the Solar Village Management Team and project partners across multiple sites, overseeing project execution, ensuring quality control, and refining monitoring, evaluation, and communication strategies to maximize impact. His leadership is instrumental in driving the success of Solar Village Ethiopia’s initiatives, particularly in projects funded by USAID and P4G.
