Mr. Melaku Tesema
Mr. Melaku Tesema holds an MSc degree in Hydraulic Engineering from Bahir Dar University, Institute of Technology, and a BSc degree in Water Resource Management from the same university. With over nine years of experience in Water Resource Management, Irrigation, Hydrologist and Infrastructure Engineering, he has expertise in design and supervision of hand-dug wells, and supervision of water diversion structures, Water resource management and pressurized irrigation system design and project supervision in irrigation and water infrastructure.
Currently, Mr. Melaku serves as an Irrigation department head at Solar Village Ethiopia, where he focuses on solar-powered pump irrigation and pressurized irrigation systems for projects funded by P4G and USAID. His educational background and extensive experience play a vital role in advancing Solar Village Ethiopia's vision—expanding solar-powered energy solutions as a cost-effective and environmentally friendly alternative to diesel-powered irrigation systems.
