At Solar Village Ethiopia, we believe that meaningful impact begins with genuine connection. In line with this belief, our Managing Director visited a smallholder farming community—stepping beyond the comfort of office spaces and into the everyday reality of the farmers we serve in different parts of the country.

This was not a ceremonial visit. It was a deliberate effort to listen, understand, and engage.

Sitting together with farmers in their own environment, sharing meals, and having open conversations, our Managing Director experienced firsthand the challenges they face—from resource limitations to climate pressures and market access constraints. These moments provided invaluable insight that no report or second-hand data could ever fully capture.

Our approach is rooted in empathy and collaboration. We recognize that farmers are not just beneficiaries but key partners in shaping sustainable solutions. By directly engaging with them, we are able to better align our initiatives with their real needs—ensuring that every intervention we design is practical, relevant, and impactful.
